Early Life and Career

Kim Maria Baxter was born on May 2, 1955, and grew up in Bowie, MD. She graduated from Bowie High School in 1973. After completing high school, she worked at Bowie Race Track and became a professional jockey, racing until 1987.

Passion for the Sea

In 1989, Kim moved to Marco Island, FL, where she married Jesse Crosby. The following year, she obtained a 100-ton US Coast Guard License and became a licensed charter captain. By 2005, Kim settled in Key West, FL, embodying the role of a dive master and extending her passion for the sea to others.

Constant Evolution as an Artist 

In 2015, Kim made the move to Sarasota, FL, fully dedicating herself to her artistry. Painting emerged as a pivotal aspect of her existence, enabling her to convey thoughts and emotions authentically. She also delved into photography, skillfully capturing the allure of nature through her lens. To enhance her creative endeavors, Kim now offers her exquisite oil paintings and photography for sale in Southwest Florida.
